Perldesk AGI Integration
Trouble Ticket Management IVR & PBX Routing Application for Asterisk PBX v1.0.1
This is an Asterisk AGI script written in perl that allows a caller to dial an extension, key in a trouble ticket number, and close the ticket, check status on the ticket, or connect to the support agent that has been assigned to the trouble ticket. This script is fairly smart on how it does the call routing, for example if no agent has been assigned to the ticket, it can route the caller into a default queue or extension. It will also allow the caller to change the status of a ticket and logs the call in the trouble ticket history. This script works with perldesk v1.0.2, It has not been tested with any other version of perldesk.
This script is not designed as a drop in application, it is a good example of using perl as an agi to connect and update information from a database.
There is a Live Demo available, first you'll need to go to Here and sign up for a user account and enter a trouble ticket. Don't worry, this is a test system so its okay to enter a bogus ticket. Once you have an account open you can interact with the helpdesk via email, the web, or using Asterisk. Once you have a ticket established you can call my demo PBX via IAXTEL at 1-700-603-6024 Option 2 for Support, Then Option 2 again to access this application. If for some reason you wish to access it using the PSTN instead of VoIP, send me an email and I'll provide you with a number.
You can view or download a copy of the script Here. Updated: Thu Dec 23 07:09:56 PST 2004
